Letter: A fond farewell to Garrison Keillor
A fond farewell to Garrison Keillor
To the editor:
So long, farewell to Garrison Keillor. who will be doing his last show at Tanglewood on Saturday, June 25.
We have been listening to "A Prairie Home Companion" on Saturday night for as long as I can remember. Saturday night was always special when we could sit by the radio and picture just what was going on in Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong and the men good-looking.
I urge everyone to try to attend this last show. I heard that it was going to be special. We all need to give thanks for the many years of homespun humor that he has shared with us.
Summers at Tanglewood won't be same without Keillor, Sue Scott, Richard Dworsky, Tim Russell and Fred Newman. We will miss them all.
