Letter: A place for cardio graduate work
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I concur with Terry Wallach’s enthusiastic assessment of the cardio rehab unit at Fairview Hospital (Letters, July 28). After my heart attack six years ago I attended and "graduated" from the 10-week course offered there. The program is outstanding.
As for a place to continue rehabilitation (shall we call it "graduate work"?) I suggest joining the fitness center at Berkshire South Regional Community Center. The facility there is much more extensive than that at Fairview, and there is at least one trainer on the floor at all times. There is a cross-section of persons of all ages (minimum age is 13) working out. I have even seen some of the Fairview staff there.
