Letter: A positive candidate for selectman
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Now that every beautiful little town in the Berkshires seems to have its own scandal, our New England soap opera, it is a delight and a real source of pride to note that Great Barrington has a bright and beautiful light in a candidate for the board of selectmen.
Ed Abrahams, current head of the library trustees, resident of midtown, right next door to the library, father of two prize-winning daughters attending local public schools and an enthusiastic supporter of peaceful and civil negotiations is running for office! How fortunate for us, how refreshingly inspiring, how pleasant to contemplate what he will do for the town and its citizens.
He has the knowledge, the skills and the mediating talent to make it all happen. Rejoice!
The writer is a long-time library trustee.
