Letter: An eventful 20th for Barrington Stage

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

Barrington Stage celebrated our 20th season last week with a star-studded concert and dinner that was disrupted by a severe thunderstorm. We would like to publicly thank everyone who helped to make the evening a success despite the storm.

First and foremost is the Elks Lodge who had donated their parking lot for the event and then opened their doors and allowed us to move inside when the storm struck. Without their generosity the dinner would have been a washout. Fur-
thermore we would like to thank the folks from Classical Tents, Abbots Limousine Ser-
vice and the two Pittsfield Police officers we had hired for the evening who all helped our staff hastily move out of the tent and into the Elks Lodge. This spirit of caring and cooperation is one of the things that make the Berkshires such wonderful place to live and work.

And finally, thanks to all of our patrons who attended the event and were so understanding when the storm hit. We are so proud to be a part of the vibrant Pittsfield community.

The writer is managing director, Barrington Stage Company.
