Letter: Appreciates Owens, other Berkshire writers
Appreciates Owens, other Berkshire writers
To the editor:
With The Eagle's op-ed page political columnists ably reporting the continual lies and innuendo fomented by our presidential candidates, it is refreshing to read the columns of our local historical and nature writers with confidence that their material has been carefully researched for accuracy.
I especially enjoy the writings of Carole Owens who can make virtually any subject interesting, especially when she compares modern life with the simpler routines and conditions of our Berkshires ancestors. And, she relates in an always interesting fashion the hidden stories behind the stories of many of our Berkshire tales.
Let's hear it for our Berkshire columnists.
