Letter: Become informed on pipeline plan
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I wish to clarify the format of the special select board meeting taking place at Nessacus Regional Middle School tonight (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. as recently reported in your paper.
This public information session will be comprised of two separate presentations followed by question and answer periods. Kinder Morgan’s vice president of public affairs, Allen Fore, will be making a presentation of the proposed gas pipeline including its impact on Dalton, followed by a question and answer period moderated by Tony Doyle, our town moderator. Upon its conclusion, Jane Winn, founder and executive director of Berkshire Environmental Action Team, and Rosemary Wessel, founder of No Fracked Gas in Mass, will make a presentation. This will also be followed by a question and answer period moderated by Mr. Doyle.
I encourage all Dalton residents to come to the special select board meeting in order to be informed about a most important issue affecting our town.
MARY R. CHERRY
The writer is chair, Dalton Select Board.
