Caretaker Farm member urges others to join

To the editor:

I read with pride and great interest your March 25 article on Caretaker Farm in Williamstown. I have been a member since it became part of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) movement and have never been disappointed in the culture and produce created by that membership.

It is certainly worth the membership fee, especially to know from where my food is coming, even though I have a house one-half hour away in Canaan, N.Y. And, it certainly is valued at a higher level than if the same "organic" food was bought in a store.

One of the things that sets Caretaker Farm from many other CSAs is that you can choose what produce to put in your bag. You get a bag and can fill it up with whatever you wish from the choices available that day, thus, you are not left with items that you might not eat. So, anyone interested should take a chance and join, even if you have to drive half an hour as I do.

Naomi Cramer, Canaan N.Y.
