Letter: Don't be fooled by Trump divisiveness
Don't be fooled by Trump divisiveness
To the editor:
Donald Trump wants Bernie Sanders' people to not vote for Hillary Clinton. Bernie is an independent, and as an independent myself, I would have voted for him in a minute if he won the Democratic primary.
When he didn't win I was disappointed but believe he will have a positive impact on her administration and for this I support the Democratic Party in its openness to his ideas.
Trump is trying to drive a wedge between Hillary and Bernie supporters. There is a French term "Trompe l'oeil" meaning an illusion to fool the eye. What we are seeing is an illusion that I'll call "Trump l'oeil." It is an illusion to fool all your senses. Don't let him!
