Letter: Enjoyable articles in recent Eagles
Enjoyable articles in recent Eagles
To the editor:
I would like to state how much I enjoyed some recent articles in The Berkshire Eagle. These include an April 1 article on the exhibit of the works of the Ukrainian-American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky (1915-1985). The Ukrainian Museum was established in New York City in 1976
This was followed April 14 by a letter to the editor during National Library Week about the wonderful staff at the Berkshire Atheneaum. The staff in years past in no small part inspired me to pursue a career from 1984 to 2014 as a reference librarian. I was also supported by them in my genealogical studies and local history interests starting at age 15, as well as my religious studies, which were begun by my parents.
Additional well-written and informative articles were two pieces on April 15 — an article on the Berkshire carousel and the Letter from New York by Leonard Quart on the opinion page.
