Letter: Good choice for Hinsdale board

To the Editor of THE EAGLE:

A friend of mine, Vivian Mason, is seeking a seat on the Board of Selectmen in the town of Hinsdale. With her throwing her hat into the ring she has provided the residents of Hinsdale an opportunity to elect an intelligent, experienced individual to their Select Board.

I worked with Vivian during her tenure on the Dalton Select Board. She has shown her ability to look fully at a matter and to work with others to get things done for the betterment of the community as a whole. The experience she garnered while on the Select Board allows her to have insight in how a town works and what is needed to run a community fairly and wisely.

Her knowledge on how to work with the state government, town boards and all citizens would be an asset to Hinsdale. She has a working understanding in all aspects of the process from development of budgets to the operation of town departments and how to get everyone working together on the common goal of bettering the community.

The citizens of Hinsdale are lucky to have the chance to elect Vivian Mason to their Board of Selectmen and I urge them to vote for her on Election Day.
