Letter: Grand opera production was second to none
Grand opera was second to none
To the editor:
I have loved, seen and listened to grand opera for many years. The Berkshire Opera Festival production of Puccini's "Madama Butterfly," was second to none, including performances on the stages of the Metropolitan in New York and the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. Jonathan Loy and Brian Garman, co-founders of BOF, are to be commended. They have brought enrichment to the Berkshires and beyond. In a word: MORE.
