Letter: Helping hand wielding a shovel
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
On Sunday April 6, my husband and I took an early spring-time ride through the hills of Becket. Coming upon (and passing) a "road closed " sign on Tyne Road, we decided we must turn back. In the process the front wheels went down the embankment and we were stuck.
While we waited for AAA to arrive a very nice man came along. He and his wife were walking their dog along the deserted road. He went back to his home, got his car, brought back a shovel and dug us out of our predicament.
We know him only as Dan. So, Dan, thank you ever so much for your help, and your friendly smile.
