Letter: In uncertain, seek strength of the Rock

In uncertain times, seek strength of the Rock

To the editor:

The crisis of terror, fear and uncertainty that unfolded in Paris, killing 130, was disturbing on such a fundamental level that it made me get closer to God after I watched it unfold on TV. I felt better after.

The Bible says, "Return to the Rock from which you were hewn." The "Rock" means God. Other things in nature represent the strength of God too, like the mountains and trees.

Jesus predicted a great time of tribulation, "but for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened." Also to be saved are millions of people who will repent in the great tribulation. Let's make sure that we repent soon, so that we won't have to go through the great tribulation.

Bruce W. Peck, Pittsfield
