Letter: Let dogs enjoy dining experience
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I wouldn’t change one word of Llewellyn King’s editorial page column, "Oh, to be a dog in France" (Eagle, July 19). It has always been my wish that restaurants in America, or at least in the Berkshires, would welcome well-behaved canines -- and not just on their outdoor patios.
Clearly the restaurant’s hosts would have as much right to expel any pups who misbehave as they do human miscreants. Dogs are wonderful companions and would enhance many an owner’s -- and others’ -- dining experience.
Our dog, Murray (an Eagle columnist) wishes to join me in these comments.
