Letter: Local caregivers kind, capable
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Having a balance problem, which is being treated with therapy, I recently experienced the benefits of our wonderful local caregivers. A nasty fall in our home at Sugar Hill resulted in a split lip, lots of blood and physical discomfort.
A call resulted in an instant at-home nursing presence, as well as the Dalton Police Department and ambulance service for a quick trip to the emergency room at Berkshire Medical Center. Nothing was left undone. All gave me far more than required service, as if they were my family. Unbelievable compassion from beginning to end. The presence of caring was with me every minute until I was brought back home. I will be eternally grateful.
