Many made Pizza Playoff a success for Troop 8

To the editor:

Charles Church Hall was jam-packed with hungry folks who arrived for the Fourth Annual Pizza Playoff. They ate tasty slices of pizza pies donated from Berkshire Mt. Bakery, Zucco's, East Side, Domino's, Papa Joe's, Hot Tomato's, South Street, Papa John's, Tyler Street, and Vivaldi's. Ice River Springs donated bottled water. Large oven warmers from B & G Restaurant Supplies kept the pizzas warm.

We could not have done this without the kindness of Fr. Peter Gregory, pastor at St. Charles parish. Also, visitors were encouraged to vote for their top 3 favorites. At final count, Papa Joe's, Berkshire Mt. Bakery and Tyler Street were the first, second and third choices.

Under the leadership of scoutmaster, Bill MacFarlane, from all of us at Troop 8, Pittsfield, we salute you!

Ann Mottley , Pittsfield The writer is Pizza Playoff coordinator , BSA Troop 8.
