Letter: Mid-market part of Berkshire brand
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
The Berkshire tourist industry is heavily dependent on a mid-market demographic. To suggest and be "concerned" that the development and subsequent marketing of Elm Court to a mid-market demographic is not in keeping with the "Berkshire brand" and the neighborhood, is at best disingenuous. ("An Elm Court plan that fits brand," letter, August 1.)
Wheatleigh, Blantyre, Canyon Ranch, Cranwell, B&B’s, and the motels on the Route 7 &20 corridor all serve the various demographic segments of the tourist industry that provide a diversity of tourists and make the Berkshire’s a special place. Let’s hope that a high market demographic is not exclusively the "Berkshire brand."
