Letter: Nichols will be responsive councilor

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

I wish to comment on the recent Eagle column by John Krol which listed his accomplishments, such as the reconstruction of Meadow Ridge Drive. The problems of Meadow Ridge Drive have been constant for many years. In fact, our current mayor Dan Bianchi was responsible for initially pursuing the start of the reconstruction. Mr. Krol only followed up on the project.

However, during this reconstruction, the company that was contracted to do the work was sloppy, creating property damage to residents in the area. Mr. Krol was contacted on many occasions specifically by me asking for help in resolving the issues of property damage. The results were no returned calls, and Mr. Krol refused to come to a meeting between myself and the construction company, Apparently Mr. Krol has one agenda, to be known as a "councilor," but not to be responsive to the problems in Ward 6.

It is interesting to note that Mr. Nichols has also commented in his column that he has heard numerous complaints regarding the non-responsiveness of Mr. Krol, Obviously there is a problem in our ward with the current councilor.

It is time for a change. I urge everyone in Ward 6 to vote for Joseph Nichols Nov. 5 to be our responsible and caring ward councilor who will answer calls, and be a proper and reliable representative.
