Photo offensive to vegetarians

To the editor:

While looking through the Feb. 23 Eagle, I came across a section of the paper showing a chef basically mutilating a lamb. [The photo was from a course in "History of American Cuisine" at Buxton School in Williamstown.] I was extremely disturbed by this. I am wondering why The Eagle would even think about publishing a photo of this nature, and even in color?

If people want to or have the need to consume livestock that's one thing, but please don't show this to people who have been vegetarians for a long time, including myself for more than six years. We don't want to see this. It breaks out hearts.
