Letter: Picture world without tobacco
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
Having smoked for more than 20 years and having successfully quit for nine years, I continue in my efforts to rid my life of what I call the seed from the devil.
I gave tobacco some serious thought one night. About how it takes in from the soil nutrients that other plant life, along with other life on this earth, use to sustain life. Tobacco even takes in water and sunlight.
It occurred to me that this could lead to a real opportunity for people to overcome all urgings and cravings for tobacco. New ways of thinking, new approaches, to arresting cancer and other diseases.
