Letter: Pittsfield kids are all right
I am finally sending this long-delayed letter. Do you remember that once open a time it was warm? While on a hot day last summer, my little smart car broke down on in Pittsfield. My 87-year-old mother and I spent a long three hours waiting for my husband to get us going again.
During that time we had 23 people stop and offer to help. Much to our surprise, all but three were young people. I hear so often that young people are too busy or self centered to help others. That certainly is not true for Pittsfield youth.
I don't know what your families and community are doing, but whatever it is it sure is right.
Keep up the good work.
