Letter: Re-elect Boyle to Dalton Select Board
Re-elect Boyle in Dalton
To the editor:
On Monday, May 9, Dalton will hold an election for Selectmen. It is always a positive to have new challengers willing to serve the public, but at this time John Boyle would be just too difficult to replace.
A lifelong resident of Dalton, a past business person and a dedicated public servant, John's background has allowed him to develop a special bond with the citizens. He is approachable on the street corner, will stop and chat with people during his morning walk and engage citizens at town venues both public and private.
Years of experience with town affairs and knowledge of various committee functions and personnel put him well beyond a learning curve a less experienced person would have in this position.
Most important to citizens is his taxpayer advocacy approach to appropriations and expenditures. He believes that town budgets are for basic services. John will ensure capital expenditures and projects will be vetted with the public and give weight to citizen inputs over those with a narrow agenda.
Let's keep John Boyle for another term.
John Carroll, Dalton
