Letter: Road sealer use a safety hazard
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I am writing this letter because of a safety concern. I think that city and state officials are not aware of the dangerous situation created for those of us who ride motorcycles.
The black sealer on the road is causing safety problems. In the past there were only one or two strips here and there, but now some of them are two or three feet wide. In the event of an emergency, it is difficult to stop. There is no traction for braking and the front wheel slides on corners which causes this dangerous situation. On straight-aways, the front wheel hunts for traction and can sway off course.
I think we should be able to come up with a better solution for sealing cracks.
