Letter: Senior hit with huge TW bill

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

My mother recently called Time Warner Cable and explained she lived in elderly housing in Pittsfield, had cable, but missed watching the City Council meetings. A technician came a few days later. The bill arrived and she was charged for channels she already had, charged for channels she didn’t order and $47.99 for an installation fee. The total was $130.51.

I called and asked for a technician to come and take it out and was told they didn’t do that. Its customer service is a joke. How Time Warner can take advantage of a senior citizen disgusts me and how they think they can get away with it is even worse.
