A recent editorial in The Berkshire Eagle commended the arts funding for Berkshire schools ("Our Opinion: Arts funding grant is good news for many," Oct. 14). But it omitted mention of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox. It has been working with students in the public schools for over 35 years!

In November, its Annual Fall Festival by students will take place at its Lenox campus for the 29th year. Different Shakespeare plays from 10 high schools are fully staged, directed and supported by 30 staff members from the company. Over 500 students participate each year in this program that culminates in performances at the main Shakespeare & Company stage. In addition, a touring company has been giving performances of Shakespeare plays at schools in the Berkshires and beyond for 38 years.
