Letter: Signs crowding POW plague

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

The bus stop in North Adams is a few paces away from a small, very modest memorial dedicated to MIAs and POWs. It is also only paces away from an HR Block, which has the audacity, cluelessness, or both, to place its signs only two or three feet away from the small POW plaque.

It is an insult to the unfortunate men and women for whom the memorial is set up, and the practice needs to stop. I’ve seen this take place several times now and it really makes you wonder what the Block people could possibly be thinking, if anything.
