Letter: Slosek family built a solid Adams legacy
Slosek family built a solid Adams legacy
To the editor:
A longtime business in Adams has changed hands. Stanley's Lumber, a mainstay in the fabric of our community for many years, is no longer operated by the Slosek family (Eagle, April 29).
Walt Slosek and his wife, Judy, along with their dedicated associate Ed Saharczewski, have served Adams as much more than a family-owned business. Walt has unselfishly done so much to support organizations, nonprofit groups and individuals throughout his time as proprietor of Stanley's Lumber.
The town of Adams is a better place because of the generosity, kindness and caring touch that the Slosek family has displayed throughout their business career. They are good and humble neighbors.
I wish Walt, Judy and Ed the best as they start a new phase in their life's journey. Also, I wish the new owners well. I hope that they will continue to offer all the amenities and courteous attention to detail that was a trademark of the Stanley's Lumber "family." Your legacy to Adams will not be forgotten.
Joseph J. Nowak, Adams
