Letter: Some suggested rules to weed out future Trumps

Posted
To the editor:

Our president could possibly force our government to create new rules for future elections. I would love to wake up to the following news flash:

"Today, the United States issued four new requirements for future nominees who run for the presidency:

"1. Nominees will have a stated limit as to how much money they can accept during their run.

"2. Nominees must release their taxes immediately to the Department of Justice.

"3. The elected person must have a physical and psychiatric examination by known qualified physicians.

"4. The elected person must take an oath in court that they will never deliberately lie to the American people nor will they use social media to falsely blame others."

Too bad we may never see such rules happen, but they could possibly weed out dangerous unstable contenders in the future.
