Letter: St. Joe cemetery road is a mess
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
A few weeks ago, a St. Joseph’s cemetery worker scolded me for driving on the lawn rather than into and over the holes in the road. My wife, Callie, passed away in 2006, and since that day I have visited her grave in the upper level of the cemetery frequently, often daily. Every time I have been frustrated by the horrendous conditions of the road into the cemetery and up the hill to her grave.
Why must we put up with such a mess? Why can’t we come up with the money to solve the problem? I doubt the bishop would put up with these conditions if this was his parents’ final place of rest.
