Letter: State should not have power to kill
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
The botching of a lethal injection in Oklahoma Tuesday made me angry. This man, a black man, was probably innocent, as many black condemned men are.
Leaves you cold, doesn’t it? Why does the state have the power to end a life, when law is fallible and corrupt?
