Letter: Stockbridge board must listen to people
Stockbridge board must listen to people
To the editor:
It is not surprising that the final candidate for Stockbridge town administrator withdrew her name. Watching the Selectmen's meetings on television is very painful. The three men who make up the board need to learn to not only listen to the people of the town, but to listen to each other.
They are always talking over one another, and the rolling of eyes and heads in hands truly lacks the sort of professionalism one would expect. It is in the best interest of the town is to have a government that represents the people.
The whole process of searching for a town administrator with no input from townspeople to forming obscure committees was doomed from the start. Members of the Select Board need to do the job they were voted to do. Presently they are disjointed and disagreeable. It is time for them to represent the interests of the town and leave personal interests aside.
