Letter: Support students' trip to DC gun protest

To the editor:

I grew up in Pittsfield in the 1940s and '50s. Two years ago I returned to the beautiful hills I have always loved. I am happy to be back and I am extremely proud of the student leaders of Pittsfield High School, Taconic High and Miss Hall's who came forward last week to lead the walkout in solidarity with the victims of the Florida shooting and in protest of assault rifles and all gun violence.

I am going to support these committed young people who represent our collective future by making a contribution to their efforts to raise money for a bus to take them to Washington for the March for Our Lives rally on March 24 by going to www.gofundme.com/march-for-our-lives-bus-to-dc and I will be at The Eagle sponsored Forum on Wednesday. Join me?
