Letter: Violent society mirrored in on screen violence
Violent society mirrored in on screen violence
To the editor:
Last night I saw the new Jason Bourne movie. It, and the previews shown before, were nothing but hard-core violence, from the truck plowing through cars (reminiscent of Nice) to the prolonged close-up fight to the death scene.
Surely there is a link between the violence we tolerate on our screens and the violence we see in the news, between the loose gun laws and the many shootings.
We reap what we sow. We are now reaping.
