Letter: Wrong attitude on drug treatment

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

Thanks to the Berkshire Eagle for reporting the story "Firm re-imagines Williamsville Inn as treatment center for adolescents" on June 1.

I'm sorry to hear that the new owner regards Medicaid recipients as being risks to the neighborhood. Such a bigoted, entitled attitude does not bode well for those who may be treated there.

Drug addiction is a great equalizer -- all are vulnerable and all possess the potential for recovery.

To continue to think of those with financial resources as different from those without is a set-up for failure. CLAIRE ROSENBERG
