Letters: Unopposed, but seeking support
To the editor of THE EAGLE:
In response to the May 13 Eagle article stating that "Jeanne Pryor will coast to a second term on Saturday," I would like the residents of Becket to know that I don't take my re-election for granted.
Although I was unopposed at the town caucus, I respect the residents of Becket and want them to know that I am running for election. So I have put up campaign signs, emailed supporters and attended Becket's baby town meeting/meet the candidates event on April 30 to make a statement and answer questions. I have worked very hard in my first term as selectwoman to ensure that my decisions are based on the gathering of facts and ideas and consideration of the board's responsibility to the voters.
With the support of Becket residents, I hope to be able to continue to serve the people of Becket. To the voters of Becket, I ask for your vote at the annual town election on Saturday.
