Life Hack: Clean your leather furniture with vinegar

Posted

Life hack: Get rid of stains and brighten up dull-looking leather furniture with a mixture of water and white vinegar.

How it works: Combine one part white vinegar and one part water and apply to a clean, soft cloth. Blot or gently wipe the stain on the leather and let dry. Test first on small areas.

How it actually worked: It's like magic — I cleaned my baby's spit up stains on my leather couch with this solution and the stains not only disappeared but stayed gone (spit up has a magical power to reappear after you clean it).

Life changing?: Yes, especially for a new mom with a baby that likes to paint the leather couch with leftovers from breakfast. Your couch does smell like vinegar when you do this, but I just wiped it with a damp cloth with just water afterward and that seemed to lessen the odor. I've also read this can work for salt stains on leather shoes or boots.
