Little hope for America's future

Saturday February 2, 2013

Wally Boyer’s letter of Jan. 29 ("Soulless government and its people") hit the mark 100 percent on every issue he raised. Because things are so messed up I attempt to help my kids and grandkids as much as I can, as they will have a questionable future. With the choices made by our government I am not even sure that it is possible.

The framers of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights warned future generations against this happening, but it remains to be seen if it is too late to straighten this out.

If someone had told me, when I was young, that America would change this much in about 50 years I would have tended not to believe them. My ultimate hope is that someone will surface who is smart enough and selfless enough to keep America free and remain the hope of the world.
