Little League: Myron Gray West advances to 12s final

PITTSFIELD -- Myron Gray West Little League racked up 19 hits and homered four times to roll past North Adams 18-8 in the Don Gleason District 1 12-year-old tournament at Springside Park.

West advances to face Pittsfield South in the championship game today at Springside Park. If West wins today, the teams will play an if nessecary game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Springside.

Against North Adams, Jake Corcoran led the winners with a home run, double and five RBI. Brandon Peaslee had four hits, including a homer, and three RBI. Brett Murphy and Cam Levardi also homered while Jake McNeice drove in two and doubled twice. Brett Murphy started the game on the mound and earned the win.

Ethan Sheldon, who took the loss on the mound, had three doubles for North Adams while Reece Racette had a double and a single. David Beebe doubled twice. Steven Stodj added a two-run single.
