Man jumped, taken to hospital

PITTSFIELD -- A man was transported to Berkshire Medical Center on Saturday morning with unspecified injuries, after he told police he was jumped by unidentified assailants.

Pittsfield police responded to Cherry Street at 2:18 a.m. to respond to the report of the assault. No arrests were made. No further information on the attack was available, Pittsfield police Sgt. Matthew Hill said.
