Man sought for killing 2 sisters in Boston
BOSTON (AP) -- Prosecutors are searching for a man they believe fled the country after shooting dead his 21-year-old former girlfriend and her sister in their apartment in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
Thirty-year-old Jean Weevins Janvier is a former Dorchester resident. Prosecutors accuse him of killing 21-year-old Stephanie Emile and 23-year-old Judith Emile inside their Harlem Street apartment in November.
A Suffolk County grand jury on Friday returned an indictment charging the 30-year-old with two counts of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors did not disclose the motive for the killings. They say the suspect had previously been in a romantic relationship with Stephanie Emile.
Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley say prosecutors are working with Boston, federal and other law-enforcement agencies to capture Janvier and return him to Massachusetts for trial.
