Mass. opens up part of Exit 22 ramp closed after explosions


BOSTON (AP) -- Massachusetts transportation officials have partially reopened a highway ramp near the site of the Boston Marathon bombing.

The state Transportation Department announced Wednesday that effective immediately it is reopening the Exit 22 ramp on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike, but only the lanes that allow access to the Prudential Center and Huntington Avenue.

The lane for Copley Square will remain closed during the ongoing investigation into the two explosions Monday that killed three and injured more than 170.
