BROCKTON -- Jamin McCann picked up his fourth straight victory for the Suns (17-14) as Pittsfield blanked the Brockton Rox 2-0 Friday night.

McCann pitched eight innings, scattering six hits and striking out three. Alex Lagos pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to record the save and complete the shutout.

McCann, an East Tennessee State product, entered the game with a 1.93 earned-run average and has allowed only one run in 16 1/3 innings in his last two starts.

Derek Gardella’s two-run double in the fourth inning was all the offense the team needed. The win moves Pittsfield to 6-4 in its last 10 games.

The Suns host Seacoast tonight at 7 p.m. at Wahconah Park.
