MCLA women's hoops falls at home to Salem State; Blazer men win

NORTH ADAMS -- Despite 31 points from Lucy Tremblay, MCLA couldn't get by Salem State in a 78-71 home loss Tuesday night.

The Trailblazers (8-5, 0-1) were behind by 12 at the break. Kait Chenevert and Johanna Miner had 12 points each but only three other MCLA players scored.

NORTH ADAMS -- Balanced scoring from the Trailblazers powered them to the victory.

Seven MCLA players reached double figures, led by 16 points from John Jones. Paul Maurice added 15 points while Bilal Shabazz and Ramon Viches had 11 points each.

MCLA led by five at the half and never surrendered that lead.
