Medford man denies enticement charge

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) -- A 30-year-old Medford man has been charged with offering a 12-year-old girl cash, gifts and concert tickets in exchange for nude photos of herself.

Peter Campobasso was held on $10,000 bail after pleading not guilty Tuesday in Attleboro District Court to a charge of enticing a minor to pose in the nude. He was also barred from using the Internet.

Prosecutors say Campobasso met the Mansfield girl on Facebook and offered her $500, gifts from a mall and tickets to a Justin Bieber concert during telephone calls and text messages in exchange for photos. The girl sent a photo of herself clothed.

The girl’s parents notified police.

Campobasso’s court-appointed lawyer says her client denies the charges.

Police are investigating to see if there are other possible victims.
