Mental illness play to be staged Saturday

Written and performed by Frank La Frazia, this auto-biographical account of his life as a teenager with a parent suffering from bipolar disorder. "Living With It" portrays a young man who is coming of age, seeking independence and being dealt the responsibility of caring for a sick parent. It is rooted in a factual story from a teen's perspective.
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is a nonprofit grassroots self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families and friends of people with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. NAMI-BC is dedicated to eradicating the stigma of mental illness and to the improvement of the quality of life of all those whose lives are affected by mental illness in Berkshire County through education, advocacy and support and is a member agency of the Berkshire United Way and Northern Berkshire United Way.
