Miss Hall's School volleyball team makes NEPSAC playoffs

PITTSFIELD -- The Miss Hall's School volleyball team has advanced to the postseason.

The Hurricanes (9-7, 9-1 NEPSAC Class C) are the No. 4 seed in the NEPSAC tournament, and will host No. 5 Bancroft on Wednesday. It's the fourth time in five seasons that Miss Hall's has reached the tournament.

The Hurricanes beat Cheshire Academy 5-2 in their regular-season finale Saturday, improving to 11-6-2 (8-6-2 league).

Despite the best record the program has posted in more than 15 years, it wasn't enough to earn Miss Hall's a spot in the eight-team NEPSAC Class C tournament.

Caroline Saltzman scored two goals Saturday, with Sally Nason, Grace Guachione and Diamond Best adding a goal each in the win.
