Missing group at Ethnic Fair

I was looking forward to seeing Tony’s Polka Band at Pittsfield’s Ethnic Fair. Upon arrival, I found that Tony had been canceled. Polish people have always been represented at the Ethnic Fair by a polka band. From what I could tell, there was no polka band and no Polish food booth.

A committee member said Tony was too expensive and was replaced at the last minute by a blues band. A blues band is not a polka band.

This was an absolute injustice to the Polish people and the people who enjoy polka music. I was under the impression that the Ethnic Fair represented all nationalities and cultures. I guess I was mistaken. I will never support another one of these events.
