Monterey: New England trees are subject of Bidwell House talk
History scholar and author Eric Rutkow will visit the Bidwell House Museum at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, to tell the story of the role New England trees played in bringing about American independence.
Rutkow is the author of "American Canopy: Trees, Forests and the Making of a Nation."
The suggested donation for this talk is $15 per person, $10 for members of the museum.
