Most of Tuesday's high school postseason games postponed a day by storms

Lee's victorious girls tennis team was the only Berkshire County team to get a postseason game in Tuesday before storms made their way through Berkshire County.

Every other game on the schedule involving county teams was rained out and rescheduled for Wednesday -- all three of them involving Mount Greylock teams.

The Mountie boys lacrosse team will host Springfield Cathedral in a Central-Western Mass. Division III semifinal at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the high school. According to, Greylock junior Michael McCormack needs just three points to set a new Massachusetts state single-season scoring record. The current record is 182, accomplished by Grant Whiteway of Billerica in 2011.

Both Greylock tennis teams will be on the courts Wednesday after being rained out Tuesday. The boys will host South Hadley in a Western Mass. Division III semifinal at Williams College, at a time to be determined. The winner faces No. 3 seed Monument Mountain later this week for the Western Mass. championship.

Greylock and Monument's girls will try their Western Mass. D-III semifinal again Wednesday in Great Barrington. The teams had barely gotten a couple of games into their matches Tuesday afternoon when thunder, then rain forced the postponement of the match. They'll meet again Wednesday at 4 p.m. at MMRHS, with the winner meeting Lee for the sectional crown. Lee beat Palmer in the other semifinal Tuesday.
