Mount Greylock graduation speakers announced
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Nick Carson and Rebekeh Packer have been selected to speak at Mount Greylock Regional High School’s graduation ceremony at 5 p.m. today in the school gym.
Carson was selected by the Mount Greylock senior class to speak at the graduation. The title of his speech is "The Show Goes On."
At Mount Greylock, Carson was a member of the Peer Team, Pep Club co-chair, Honors Band Trombone Section leader, and the recipient of the Clarkson University High School Achievement Award.
Carson’s school and recreational sports have included soccer, lacrosse, alpine skiiing, skating, mountain biking, swimming, hockey, baseball, tennis, track and field, and gymnastics.
Packer was selected by the Mount Greylock faculty to speak at the graduation. Her speech is titled "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Hall? The Enduring Questions of a Greylock Education."
At Mount Greylock, she was a member of the National Honors Society and National Latin Honors Society, lacrosse team, the board of editors of Iris, the school literary magazine; the Youth Environmental Squad, and student leader of the Mount Greylock Garden.
Packer has acted in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare & Co., high school musicals, and Starlight Stage Youth Theatre.
She is the recipient of numerous academic awards including AP Scholar, Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award and Superintendent’s Award among others.
